Honestly, I'm not a big fan of long waits, but Universal was worth it! I finally understood why everyone raves about Universal; it was so much fun. It really felt like experiencing the technology of capitalism... The quality was great, and even the waiting areas were so beautiful and realistic, making me feel like I'd stepped into a game or a movie. Meeting the characters, even though I knew they were mascots, felt so real, and I was excited and wanted to touch them! We only bought admission tickets and failed at an open run, so we just arrived at 8:30 AM without Nintendo entry tickets! We also managed our time well and rode the top 5 attractions. First, as soon as you enter, I recommend a quick dash to Nintendo to ride Donkey Kong (it was a 230-minute wait, but we got on in 100 minutes; there were things to see along the way, so it was fine, and it's popular for a reason!). Then, we explored Nintendo World and rode the Mario Kart ride (it was a 120-minute wait, but we got in in 40 minutes; it wasn't as bad as I thought? It was nice to feel like we were actually racing, but it wasn't like, "OMG, so much fun!!!"). After that, we left Nintendo World, grabbed some snacks, and rode the Dinosaur ride in Jurassic World! Highly, highly recommended; it's genuinely scary and thrilling! It's dizzying from the start... I often think about wanting to fly, but after this ride, I decided against it. It's that dizzying, and screams just come out naturally; if you love thrills, I totally recommend it! If you have time, I also recommend watching the WaterWorld show! The acting was better than expected, the action was decent, and it felt quite grand in scale! Things exploding and flying around—anyway, if you like action movies and water, go for it! And I absolutely recommend Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey! If you've seen or like Harry Potter even a little, you absolutely have to go! Even if you don't like it, you'll probably love it once you're there... It was so beautiful, and there were so many places I wanted to take pictures and just look around that I almost wished the wait time had been longer, but we got through it faster than expected, which was a bit disappointing! The luggage storage area was a bit chaotic, but overall, everything was wonderful, and I was so happy; I felt like a Hogwarts student. Truly highly recommended! And the Jaws ride, the staff's acting was amazing; it felt like I was in the movie!

We went on Sun March 29 and it was epic. I’m so glad we did because we were able to get on most of the rides as a family and I loved the Singles rider option for lines. It helped things go smoothly. I almost got the express passes but I’m glad I didn’t. It wasn’t needed for a Sunday because there wasn’t a huge crowd. My family and I got the times ticket entry for Nintendo World and it was so worth it. No regrets at all. Harry Potter world was awesome and the butterbeer was so good. We didn’t get to see everything but what we did see was more than enough. The JuJutsu Kaisen 4D cinema was epic and so interactive. I felt like we were in the movie.

When you visit Osaka, Universal Studios Japan is a must-see! The overall experience is far better than Tokyo Disneyland. I highly recommend purchasing an Express Pass; it will save you a lot of time waiting in lines and allow you to enjoy more attractions. Specifically, I suggest the Express Pass 4: Minecart & JAWS, as it offers the best value! With this pass, we were able to experience the most popular attractions—Mario Kart: Koopa's Challenge, Donkey Kong's Mine-Cart Madness, Jurassic Park – The Ride, and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey—in the shortest amount of time. With the extra time, we also enjoyed Hollywood Dream – The Ride, The Flying Dinosaur, Space Fantasy – The Ride, Jaws, and watched two shows: WaterWorld and Universal Monsters Live Rock and Roll Show. In total, we experienced 10 attractions! Without an Express Pass, it would be impossible to experience so many attractions and shows in one day. So, if you don't want to waste time waiting in line and want to make the most of your day, I strongly recommend buying an Express Pass—it's absolutely worth it!

I bought the normal ticket and visited on the Wednesday 9am. I’m quite surprised the crowd wasn’t too crowded. Able to ride 7 rides include 3 rides at Super Mario and watch a show. Perhaps lack of China tourists 😅and just after Japan golden week. Spent almost half a day in Super Mario world. is really a nice experience. Harry Porter has no queue at all. walk in and ride at 10pm. 😂compared to last time 2 hours wait. I guess no need to buy express tickets if you are going during the non-peak season.

Product: [English guide] Universal VIP experience group tour: SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ entry
Splurged on VIP tickets to ensure we got to enter & ride all Super Nintendo World rides (3), Minion Mayhem and 4 other rides (we chose the 2 Harry Potter ones, Hollywood Dream & the Flying Dino). Entered via VIP entrance at 9am (tour was 12pm), and collected our express passes. Managed to do a show + Hollywood Dream before the tour. Super Nintendo World was crazy crowded and the tour allowed us to completely skip the queues (even faster than express pass riders) - which were upwards of 70min. Allowed us to maximize time at the park with no stress over queuing for rides.

So much fun!! It's an incredible park, and even though it's small and crowded, you can still enjoy it a lot! Many attractions have a single rider line, which helps you get through faster. Everything is very clean, well-maintained, and the themes are super beautiful. I definitely liked it much more than the ones in the USA, and it's all at a good price. It's an activity you should fit into your schedule because you can't miss it. 🫰💖

Everything went smoothly. The park was great, and there was a lot to see. Since we were outside of the Sakura season, we didn't have to deal with extreme crowds. The later it got, the longer the wait times became. An extra ticket for Nintendo World is a must! The longest wait times were about 40 minutes for Yoshi's Island, about 1.5 hours for Mario Kart, and 1.5 hours for The Flying Dinosaur. We skipped the Mine Cart ride in Donkey Kong Land, which had about a 3-hour wait.

Universal Studios Japan was one of the highlights of my trip to Osaka. The rides, themed areas, and atmosphere were all worth it. I highly recommend getting an Express Pass, especially if you only have one day, as it saves a lot of time. Also, do not forget to check the weather forecast before your visit since many attractions and the overall experience are much better on a clear day.

Universal Studios Japan was honestly one of the most unforgettable experiences of our trip. From the moment we entered the park, everything felt magical, exciting, and incredibly well organized. The atmosphere, music, decorations, and attention to detail truly make you feel immersed in every world you visit.

The rides were absolutely amazing, especially Super Nintendo World and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Every attraction felt unique and worth the wait. The staff throughout the park were extremely friendly, energetic, and helpful, which made the experience even better.

The food options were also surprisingly delicious, and there was so much to see and do that the entire day flew by. Whether you’re traveling with friends, family, or as a couple, this place is an absolute must-visit in Osaka. We already want to come back again.
