Review Osaka Amazing Pass

This pass is very cost-effective if you plan well. It's an online pass, and I chose the 2-day option. You should activate it on the day you plan to sightsee. It allows unlimited rides on all Metro lines. On the first day, I walked to the Umeda Sky Building; it's best to go in the morning when there are fewer people. Take the elevator to the 39th-40th floor for the view. I also planned to visit the museum, but it was closed on Tuesdays, so I took the train to Osaka Castle. You can use the QR code to enter and explore all floors of the museum inside the castle. If you walk around the right side of the castle to the bridge on the left, you'll see the Osaka-Jo Gozabune Boat dock. You can take a free boat ride around the castle by exchanging your QR code for a ticket. Nearby, there's also a sightseeing train that circles the castle, but it costs money; seniors pay 200 yen. On the second day, I went up Tsutenkaku Tower to pay respects to Billiken, but I didn't dare try the slide. Then I walked to Tennoji Zoo, which is nearby, and visited Shitennoji Temple. You can go up to the top floor via the spiral staircase by showing your QR code to the staff. In the late afternoon, I went to Osaka Bay. Next to the Kaiyukan Aquarium building, there's a sign for Santa Maria. Once inside, walk straight and go down the stairs. You can then queue for the boat, and the staff will scan your QR code. Enjoy the scenic ride around the bay. Afterward, I went on the Tempozan Giant Ferris Wheel, using my QR code to get a free ticket to enjoy the night view.

The Amazing Osaka Pass is definitely worth it and offers incredible value for money. We were able to visit Osaka Castle, enjoy the boat cruise around the castle, go up to the Umeda Sky Building for amazing city views, and take the Dotonbori River Cruise—all included with the pass.

One of the best perks is the unlimited use of participating buses and trains, which made getting around Osaka easy and saved us both time and money. If you’re planning to visit several attractions in a day, I highly recommend getting the Amazing Osaka Pass. It helped us maximize our trip while keeping transportation and entrance costs low.

After getting off at JR Osakajokoen Station, it's a 20-minute walk to Osaka Castle's main keep. You definitely have to take the Gozabune boat ride; you can get some beautiful photos of Osaka Castle from there. I recommend three activities at Tsutenkaku Tower, all of which are a lot of fun: the slide, the sky walk, and the free fall. They're thrilling but very safe, as you're secured by steel cables. Legoland is also a lot of fun, but it's more suitable for elementary school-aged children. The Osaka Amazing Pass does not include Kaiyukan Aquarium, but it does include the Captain Line ferry that goes between Universal Studios Japan and Tempozan. I suggest paying extra to visit Kaiyukan; the fish are beautiful, and there are fewer crowds when it first opens. However, it can get very noisy if you encounter an elementary school field trip, LOL. Enjoying a drink and the scenery on the Santa Maria cruise is very relaxing, and the Ferris wheel has air conditioning, so you don't have to worry about it turning into an oven. Remember to book your Dotonbori River Cruise time slot and seats in advance, as tickets usually sell out by around 7 PM at the site.

I purchased the Osaka Amazing Pass which did not disappoint. In fact, the pass has so many activities that you can select from, you will not have enough time to see them all. You need to do some research and prepare in order to incorporate this into your itinerary so as not to waste time just running around. I purchased the 2 day pass and selected the attractions that would give me the best value. For the Osaka Castle, the boat tour is included with the pass. my advice is to go early in the morning to stand in line at the ticket booth as these boats are small and the early slots fill out fast once the tourists start coming in. otherwise you might get a late reservation and it will have to come back wasting time. If you arrive early, tour the castle before or after standing in line. Went on the Dotonbori River Cruise. Expensive if you do not have the pass and just pay for a ticket. Umeda Sky Building 40th-floor Kuchu Teien Observatory 360-degree open-air views. Awesome, well worth it.

I visited Osaka Castle, the Umeda Sky Building's Kuchu Teien Observatory, Tsutenkaku, and even took the Wonder Cruise in the evening, all in one day. I was very satisfied with my itinerary. 👍
Since it was my first time in Osaka, I was a bit worried about navigating the subway and getting around, but thanks to the Amazing Pass, passing through the ticket gates was easy, and I didn't have to buy a ticket every time I traveled, which made things much smoother than I expected.
The night view from the Dotonbori Wonder Cruise was truly wonderful, and with the great weather at Kuchu Teien and Osaka Castle, my photos turned out really well.

This was incredibly well-used. I rode the subway and bus to my heart's content while traveling for two days. In just one day, I used this pass to visit Osaka Castle, the Santa Maria Cruise, the Tempozan Ferris Wheel, and Tsutenkaku, and I was extremely satisfied. If you plan to sightsee intensely for a day, the 1-day pass should be sufficient. Also, although it's not included in this pass, I highly recommend visiting Harukas 300 at night. It's truly breathtaking. I also strongly recommend the Santa Maria Cruise. Make sure to stand at the very front of the boat. Oh, and I don't recommend Osaka Castle. Taking photos of the exterior is fine, but the interior is a museum filled with Japanese history and war stories. Since I didn't know much about it, it wasn't interesting, didn't catch my eye, and there wasn't much to see. My legs just ended up hurting a lot.

This pass offers great value, covering Metro, Bus, and Train fares within the network (excluding JR), and also includes free entry to several attractions. However, you'll need to manage your time well. It's advisable to research transportation routes and plan your itinerary carefully. For a single day, I maximized its use by taking the bus and subway round trip to Osaka Castle, visiting the Shogun boat, and entering the castle. In the afternoon, I went to Tempozan for the Ferris wheel and the Santa Maria cruise. I believe it was more than worth it. For travel, you can simply scan the QR code at the entrance and exit to use various modes of transport.

This 2 day pass is really amazing! We used it to visit Osaka castle museum, skipped the line for ticket by just scanning the QR code. Then, we used it to take three boats different boats at different locations, all very nice. Also, we visisted observation deck, ferries wheel and housing museum. This ticket has great value and save time.

It's easy and convenient to use; simply present your e-ticket or physical card for entry, saving time spent waiting in line to buy tickets.

It's especially recommended for first-time visitors to Osaka traveling independently, as it allows for more flexible itinerary planning and makes it easy to visit multiple attractions in one day. Overall, it offers excellent value for money, making your trip more relaxed and enjoyable. I will definitely buy it again on my next visit to Osaka!

I highly recommend using this for a full-day itinerary! It was fantastic. Planning my trip around the free facilities allowed me to fully enjoy Osaka, which was wonderful. I purchased a 2-day pass. On the first day, I used it all day, but on the second day, I could only use it until 4 PM because I had to catch my flight, which was a real shame. The subway and Osaka's attractions were very satisfying. If you plan to include museums in your itinerary, be sure to check their closing days. I was disappointed that I couldn't visit a museum I had planned for because it was closed. Next time, I definitely want to come back and use a full 2-day pass. Another great thing was that with the Osaka Amazing Pass, you can enter attractions directly without waiting in line anywhere!
