Review JR Haruka Kansai Airport Express Ticket

My itinerary was delayed, so I ended up taking the Haruka train for the first time to get to the airport after finishing my trip. There was a long line at the ticket counter, so I quickly bought a ticket through Klook, which was cheaper than buying it locally and allowed for a quick exchange, which was very convenient. I was a bit flustered because I was in a hurry and couldn't select my boarding time or seat, but luckily, I found a comfortable seat in car 6 of the 3:47 PM Haruka non-reserved section and made it to the airport safely. Thanks to Haruka, I was able to retrieve my luggage on time and conclude my trip smoothly. Excellent!

Since it was my first time in Osaka, I didn't do any research beforehand and got a bit lost trying to find my way. I also had a little trouble finding my tickets because I had paper tickets instead of QR codes. I scanned the QR code at the ticket machine, issued the tickets, selected my seats, and received two physical tickets. There's also a counter right next to it where you can get an Icoca card, so minors or those without Apple Pay can handle both at once. They'll issue an Icoca card for 2000 yen.

Used it for Kansai Airport-Kyoto! Since the QR code was all I needed, I could enter directly without having to issue a ticket at the ticket gate, which was so convenient. It's much cheaper than the regular price, so if I ever need to use it again, I'll book through Klook. The non-reserved seating is in cars 5-7, and there was plenty of space, so I was able to sit comfortably. When the station attendant asked to see my ticket, I just showed them the screen with the QR code! Highly recommend it! 😊

This is my sixth time purchasing the Haruka Airport Express on Klook, and it's incredibly convenient. This time, I used the QR code to board the train. After entering the station and boarding, I was informed that the train was severely delayed due to a railway line malfunction, so I took the Nankai Electric Railway to the airport instead. Subsequently, I contacted Klook customer service for a refund. They informed me that I needed to contact JR-West first to restore the ticket to its unused status. After explaining the situation to JR-West's customer service representative, they restored the ticket to its unused status. I then contacted Klook customer service again, and I received the refund one day later. The whole process was very smooth. I appreciate the professional and efficient service of the customer service staff, and I highly recommend it. By the way, the Hello Kitty train is very cute.

It's much cheaper than using my EasyCard at the counter to swipe all the way to my destination. While waiting for the train, everyone went into the convenience store next to the platform to enjoy the air conditioning. I noticed the timetable and the information that the non-reserved seating cars were sections 5, 6, and 7 - this is very important information. I had an electronic ticket, and right before entering, I ran into a fellow traveler who spoke Mandarin. They told me I had 4 minutes left, and if I was worried about missing it, I should choose a non-reserved seat. However, the platform car was packed, and I would have had to wait 30 minutes for the next train. Since I had time, I wanted to change my seat selection, but the service staff at the platform said I couldn't. So, in the future, I'll just book a seat on the next train. If I make it in time, I can take a non-reserved seat on the current train. If the train is full, I still have my reserved seat on the next train. I need to get to the platform early to queue up, or there won't be any space for my luggage.
