Review JR Whole Japan Rail Pass

I had an amazing experience purchasing my 14-day Japan Rail Pass via Klook. I booked it on 01/27/26, and was pleasantly surprised when the voucher arrived in Manila, Philippines just two days later on 01/29/26. The delivery was quick and hassle-free, which made preparing for my trip even more exciting.

When I arrived in Japan, I exchanged the voucher at the JR Office next to Kansai Airport and the process was very smooth and efficient. I was able to activate and start using my pass right away on 02/14/26, the day I arrived.

I truly maximized the pass by traveling mostly on Shinkansen and JR trains—from Kagoshima in the south all the way to Wakkanai in Hokkaido, the northernmost station served by JR. I visited many prefectures and experienced Japan’s incredible railway network to the fullest.

As someone fascinated with trains, this journey was pure happiness. This is already my 3rd time using the 14-day JR Pass, and I will definitely buy one again on my future visits to Japan. 🚄✨🎌💛🚉💯

The whole ordering process was simple and the tickets arrived in plenty of time. We converted the voucher in Sapporo two days before our train journey started and with help of the staff booked our first three journeys and reserved our seats in advance. The green car experience is in our opinion worth it as the carriages are 20% full at best and are just a clean and comfortable place to be. The train staff are generally situated in the same carriage so are on hand if you want absolutely anything. Regular visits from a coffee and snacks cart alongside warm towels on arrival onto the train. Our tickets were not checked once as they know which seats have been booked and don’t need to keep troubling people throughout the journey. I would definitely recommend booking this option and would do so again having experienced it once.

best JR pass option if you are taking multiple Shinkansen throughout your journey. i took almost 10-12 Shinkansen for my longer journey also helpful for metro lines

JAPAN IS 🩷 Having this pass (Japan Rail Pass) is worth it. If you're planning to wander all over Japan you must acquire this pass. I''ve been to Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, Sapporo and Tokyo all included especially the Shinkansen. This was my second visit in Japan and I think if ever I will back again will acquire the same pass if I need to travel all over the county (Japan).

we really went all out with this pass. went from Narita to Tokyo to Osaka, went to okoyama, Hiroshima (inclusing Miyajima), Kyoto, Nagoya, then back to Tokyo. This all by using this rail pass. it was a very tiring trip but also a very memorable one. the only thing that we don’t like is that it is limited only to a certain type of bullet train and we really have to time it since its not as swldom as the other train. but overall good experience.

Easy booking through Klook. Super easy redemption at the airport. Seat reservation: No problem at the machine. But not always necessary, sometimes we just rode in the unreserved car. Staff always very friendly. We used it in Kyoto, Osaka, Nara and Hiroshima. Everything worked out great.

JR coupons were received byregistered mail a few days after placing the order. The latest requirements are only first and last name. That is a lot easier to minimise any mistake when filling in the middle names. Exchange for the actual pass was a breeze. I would suggest to do it at JR West if you happen to be in Osaka. Less crowded and staff was very helpful in making reservations for my first 2 trips. I did the rest reservation on the Midori machine and very straight forward if you have already got a printout of your itinerary. Definitely save money and currency exchange charges. I would highly recommended it.

A rail pass allows you to travel throughout the regions of Japan. You can reserve your seat in advance before your travel date, allowing you to travel according to your plan. It's easy to redeem, delivered to your home, and you can exchange the exchange order at the airport immediately. It's convenient, fast, and problem-free.

Still a favourite! my approach to Japan has been to travel long distances to off the beaten track destinations (I.e. it’s never just Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka- I usually add more unique options like Nagasaki, Kagoshima, Sendai, Akita) to the mix, otherwise you don’t get your money’s worth on this pass. huge fan of the green car pass, primarily because we travel very long distances- it ultimately gives us better seat availability, and a much quieter and comfier cabin.

good for travel cross country of Japan. If you plan just One way Osaka to Tokyo, I don't recommend this pass.

This trip, I have travel from Hokkaido to Kyushu. That's why this pass is worth of money saving. Very easy to make seat reservation, just remember your Pasdport Number.
