An absolute must-do when visiting Tokyo. We had a lot of fun and got in immediately with our pre-booked tickets, no waiting in line. The view is simply magnificent, and we had perfect weather, allowing us to see far into the distance. Tokyo is such a vast city; you can't see where it ends. Definitely do it; it's worth every penny.

I booked and saw seven total views when I went to Japan including views in Osaka and Shibuya Sky and this observatory was by far the most packed with people. It took me about an hour to navigate to the exit because of the lines of people for the elevator. I will say that may largely be because I went during sunset which is probably a popular time for most observatories. the views are amazing only second to Shibuya Sky. Keep in mind sunset will have a sea of people though.

Reservations for the Tokyo observation deck are not optional, they are mandatory! 😀 It was incredibly convenient, and even though I don't speak the language, I was able to enter easily with just a QR code! However, it would have been even better if the weather had been nice. 🥲 Additionally, I was a bit confused when I booked for four people, but all four tickets were under one person's name. Thank you for kindly clarifying via email that the tickets are issued under the name of the primary booker. Also, for Tokyo Skytree, you must enter at your scheduled time! If you're debating the 450m option due to the price, I personally recommend seeing both the 350m and 450m decks together!

Booked my Tokyo Skytree ticket on the same day through Klook and the process was super easy. Visiting at night was absolutely worth it—the city lights were beautiful and the view from the top was unforgettable. Smooth entry, no long waiting, and a perfect spot to enjoy Tokyo’s night skyline. Highly recommended!

It would be pretty during the day, but the night view is definitely better. There's a cafe at 350m, and after taking two escalators down, there's another cafe at 340m. I recommend enjoying the night view from the lower cafe. It's less crowded than the 350m cafe, which is nice. You probably don't need to go all the way up to 450m, but if you want a more relaxed viewing experience, you could pay extra to go up. Also, it's about a 15-20 minute walk from the main hall of Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa, so I recommend visiting both together.

The tallest observation deck in Japan, Tokyo's landmark Skytree. There are two observation decks, at 350 meters and 450 meters, but I only went up to the basic one. I visited at night four years ago, but honestly, I prefer the daytime view over the night view. They say you can even see Mount Fuji on a clear day, and while I'm a bit disappointed I didn't get to see it, the scenery was still absolutely beautiful.
