Review Yehliu Geopark, Jiufen, Shifen, and Golden Waterfall Day Tour

It was the best trip we had in Taiwan!! Our tour guide Mr. Gary Chang was so nice, polite and very attentive to our needs. He gave us tips for best photospot, restaurant recos and explains each place and the history behind it. We are so happy that he was the tour guide assigned to our private trip cause he made the tour so unforgetable. Yehliu Geopark is beautiful, showcasing natural rock formations, Shifen Waterfalls is simply amazing! It’s so beautiful! Shifen Old street is a unique experience to have flown a lantern with all the wishes written on it. Lastly the Juifen at night, it was the highlight of the trip, the narrow alley sorrounded my different stalls with foods and souvenirs feels so magical especially at night! It is a must try tour in Taiwan!

The one-day tour of Yehliu Geopark, Jiufen, Shifen, and Golden Waterfall that I participated in was truly an unforgettable journey, and Ms. Ling's guidance made this trip even more special. She was very kind, organized, and genuinely cared about everyone in the group. From the beginning to the end of the trip, she ensured that everything went smoothly and that everyone felt comfortable.

Ms. Ling shared many interesting stories and practical information about each attraction, giving us a deeper understanding of these places. Her explanations of the history, culture, and unique features of the sites made the entire journey not only enjoyable but also very educational.

She was also incredibly patient, allowing us ample time to explore freely, take photos, and admire the scenery. Thanks to her leadership, we were able to fully experience the unique rock formations of Yehliu Geopark, the charming atmosphere of Jiufen Old Street, the relaxed feeling of Shifen, and the magnificent views of the Golden Waterfall.

Overall, this was a well-planned trip with beautiful scenery and a very pleasant experience. Having Ms. Ling as our tour guide made the entire experience smooth, exciting, and memorable. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Taiwan.

We had an amazing experience on the Tour, thanks to our wonderful guide Jeffrey Wu. From the very beginning, Jeffrey was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He shared fascinating stories about each location and making funny jokes in the midst of it.

Jeffrey’s organization and attention to detail ensured that the day ran smoothly, even with multiple stops. He was patient with our group, always checking in to make sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. His recommendations for local snacks and photo spots were spot-on, and he even helped us capture some beautiful memories with his photography skills.

What stood out most was Jeffrey’s genuine passion and his thoughtful care for the group. He went above and beyond to make the tour memorable, and we left with not only great photos but also a deeper appreciation for the places we visited.

Peter was a great guide. He gave us good recommendations for food and drinks to try. It was so convenient that we can order things in advance while on the bus. Peter collected our orders (lanterns, milktea, raincoats, etc) so we could get them once we reach the spots. We sorted the payment (in cash) for all purchases after the tour. You should choose this tour if you want to see the night view of Jiufen with the lanterns. Peter also let us ride the shuttle bus in Jiufen so we can avoid going up the steep steps. He taught us the shortcut to A Mei Tea House so we can avoid the crowds. I definitely enjoyed the tour and it was an eventful day. We chose this over DIY so we didn’t need to worry about transportation, and so we can leave things in the bus (shopping for souvenirs, etc.). I would highly recommend this tour.

i really had fun with this trip! im a solo traveller, in this trip, i made a new friends. very easy to find meeting point, transportation and the tour guide. my tour guide, Kong, really nice. i love this trip, very recommended. they give you a bottle of water, and Kong give a lot of information during the journey. extra, you need to pay 120NTD for yehliu ticket, and 200/250NTD for latern in shifen. but overall i love this trip so much.

It was a good trip. Tourguide Rebecca was good in explaining and leading us. English speaking group. She got us pre ordered snacks so we don’t need to queue to get some snacks at Shifen. Jiufen was exeptionally crowded with people so be prepared for that. I wished there’s a bit more time allocated at Shifen & Yehliu.

this tour is awesome. we had fun in Shifen flying the lantern. Juifen is not for me (not a fan of stairs 😆) but this place has beautiful view. Our guide is friendly and caring, she always make sure that we all okay after the long walks and stairs 😁.

This 1 day trip is so fun! Everybody is punctual and no drama. The guide Gina Wang is also cheerful and really helpful. Every instruction is clear and her english is also fluent. Yet I love Yehliu much more than Jiufen old street so I prefer the duration in Yehliu could be longer in the itinerary

we did a lot in one day! The scenery at Yehliu Geopark was wonderful and the rock formations are really unique. The lantern experience in Shifen was a way for our kids to learn about this culture. The lively night scene in Jiufen was especially memorable with our tour guide, Jeffrey, leading us through the back alley to avoid crowds and telling us the history of this small town.
