The fastest and most convenient way to travel from Busan to Seoul is by train. There’s no strict ticket checking when boarding, but it’s best to keep your ticket ready in case of random inspections. The journey takes around 2.5 hours, making it smooth and relaxing—I was even able to sleep through most of it.
Just make sure to be at the boarding area early. The platform is usually announced about 15 minutes before departure, so stay alert. Trains depart exactly on time, so don’t be late!

As there were many commuters, no ticket verification was needed to enter the departure gate and sit in the train. We just had to have the e-ticket ready in case the crew did a random check. Seats were comfy, there was enough luggage storage for everyone and the view outside the window was a nice break from Seoul’s hustle and bustle.

the train ride was wonderful 🤗 comfy seats and not too cramped. the train arrive on schedule and very easy to board. no need to show anything. just ride it and seat at your assigned seats

Very convenient and fast way to travel from Seoul to Busan and vice versa. Once you received the confirmation from Korail, you just have to show up at the station and look for your car and seat and chill on the way to your destination. The train left exactly at the scheduled time.

Easy to use, no ticket checker at the KTX station, and the train staff said we were good to board the KTX train with the voucher Klook sends from the KTX site. It all went well and smooth for traveling to Busan as the KTX website would not let us use our Foriegn credit cards to book directly with them.

Going from Busan to Seoul with the KTX is easy, convenient and fast. The train ride was very smooth and quiet (by train standards) too. And getting the tickets early at Klook made it so easy and seamless. We just need to sure to be at the right train platform and board on time. As I noticed it left exactly at 9:27am as indicated. Wow! certainly no room for any latecomer, even if it’s a minute!
