Review Volendam, Marken & Windmills of Zaanse Schans Tour from Amsterdam

If you want a chill day, not worrying about logistics and explore the countryside. This will be a great option for you. Free bus ride. Free cheese experience with free taste. A lot of stores to visit. You get up close to the windmills. Nice boat ride views to Marken island. Diana was the perfect tour guide. She’s really kind and friendly and cares about you! Please book a tour in your native language as some people seem to be wandering off even after she has told everyone what to do multiple times, and her voice is loud. Bikers are wild in Netherlands. So if she says stay on the right. stay on the right! She has perfect Spanish and English, if you don’t understand that, don’t book this!

We visited the 3 places and feel that there was not enough time given to Zaanse Schans. There was a presentation at each of the locations but due to photo opportunities at Zaanse Schans windmills, there was not enough time to visit the shops for sounvenirs. Would suggest to cutback time at Volendam as there was more than enough time to take lunch and visit the shops. Although Marken itself is interesting, there is not much to see while taking the boat from Volendam to Marken. Truly enjoyed the tour and is highly recommend.

Great day tour to Volendam, Marken, and the windmills! The tour guide was fun and engaging, and the music on the shuttle bus added a nice touch. Just note that the free WiFi didn’t work on board and it’s a large group tour, but overall a great experience!

This got to be the best tour for our trip. First, it is covenient to book the tickets through Klook. The redemption of the tickets is also hassle free. Tour guide speak in both English and Spanish. The places that we were brought to were so scenic and beautiful. Most importantly, it is quite kids friendly too. Recommend this tour!

This Countryside & Windmills All-In Tour is extremely good value for money. For just S$55 on Klook, you see so much—it's a much better deal than buying from the local Amsterdam agencies, which charge €45 on the ticket.
We loved seeing the inside of a working windmill, watching how clogs are crafted, and catching the Gouda cheese and stroopwafel making demonstrations (plus getting to taste them!). It’s highly educational, fun, and moves at a great, brisk pace. Perfect if you prefer to keep moving and don't want to spend too long in one place. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely (albeit rainy day) spent catching the windmills, sampling lots of cheese and seeing how clogs are made. tour guide was lovely and had plenty of stories to share with us about the Netherlands.

I would recommend taking the All-In tour. The three places were beautiful! My only regret is we rushed through the Windmills of Zaanse Schans-one hour is not enough to scour the big area, buy waffles and ice cream. We didnt even get to take photos at the house with hanging clogs. Volendan and Marken are beautiful. Again, I wish we had more time to take photos and look for souvenirs. Overall, it was a great experience for us! The local people are friendly, and we managed to try their famous waffle and kibbeling meal.

I got up early in the morning in the Netherlands and had an impromptu idea to go to Windmill Village. I saw that I could make a reservation and pay immediately before going to meet up. It only took half an hour, but there was no problem at all. I scanned the voucher and set off smoothly! The itinerary went to three points, and I chose the cheapest one that did not include tickets for the windmill. However, the tour leader still did not compromise on service quality and told me that if I wanted to go in and visit, I would tell her and he would take me to buy tickets! The whole trip can be easily taken on the bus to see the windmill village I want to see without having to travel. It is highly recommended for people with a more mobile schedule!

The tour itself was breathtaking! the best part is that it is not that exhausting as I thought it would be. The views are so picturesque and the guide and our driver were so lovely! I would recommend this tour to all of my friends!

Fruitful and memorable trip to visit the windmills, open top boat ride to Volendam, watch cheese and cloak making processes. The local guides spoke English and Spanish fluently with a sense of humour. We had a fun trip! Only suggestion was for the ticket issuance and bus boarding to be located at the same place or close by. The actual walk fr shop to bus stop was quite long ~ 10 minutes walk.
