Sea creatures surrounded us… and swum above us. What an impressive display of marine life viewed in comfort from a moving walkway. Now I’ve seen a live a shark’s teeth from close-up, and viewed a sting ray’s smile from beneath (the only way you can see it).
We walked round a penguin colony; they were on real snow and had a huge natural-looking tank. But the bonus we hadn’t expected was an authentic re-creation of the inside of Captain Scott’s Antarctic base. While I’ve visited a few aquariums, this was a first - a fascinating display showing just how hard it was living in close quarters under freezing conditions, wearing ‘thermal’ clothing that bordered on medieval! A great exhibition revealing Kelly’s passion for the sea and, presumably, Antarctica.

Although the aquarium is small, it is very special. It uses a lot of space to display the Antarctic expedition, the plan to restore and preserve the ancient ruins of the Antarctic base, and the story of its founder Kelly Tarlton. It is dedicated to underwater archeology and allows people to see the underwater world. But in the aquarium He passed away 7 weeks after the opening of the museum at the age of 47. The main highlights were the Penguin Museum and the Shark Ray Tunnel. The penguins flew towards me and were so cute. Just watching the penguins stealing stones took me a long time. The Shark Ray Tunnel had a conveyor belt and was cool. I just stood still. Can watch a circle
