Review Konigssee Day Tour from Munich - Chinese-speaking guide

 (407)

Lake Königssee boasts a serene expanse embraced by towering mountains, its elongated form reminiscent of Nordic fjords. Kirche St. Bartholomä stands proudly above the lake, framed by azure skies, fluffy clouds, verdant peaks, and the captivating "red hat," enchanting all who behold it. In the Enchanted Forest Zauberwald, each season paints a distinct tableau: spring blooms with vibrant mountain flowers, summer brings emerald waters and gentle waves, autumn casts a spell with misty mornings and golden sunsets, and winter blankets the landscape in snow. This ever-changing scenery offers a perennial allure, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the timeless beauty of the natural world across the passing seasons

Booking the Königssee day trip with Klook was excellent; I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Munich. The weather was exceptionally good that day, making the Königssee attractions incredibly beautiful. The itinerary included a boat ride, which was absolutely worth it. In fact, if you don't take the boat, you'll essentially be wasting your time and it's not worth coming to Königssee at all. So, the boat ride is essential. During the boat trip, there's a local guide who plays a horn to demonstrate the echo; everyone should get their phones ready to record this moment, it's truly memorable. Königssee is stunning, especially the reflections of the mountains and water. It's genuinely worth a visit. I found booking with Klook to be very fast and secure. Königssee is a very popular destination, so the chances of a tour running are very high. I booked through Klook and joined a tour operated by CKD Travel. My tour guide, Ms. Cheung, was outstanding. I participated in seven local tours during my time in Munich, with different groups and leaders each day, and Ms. Cheung left a fantastic impression on me. She was dedicated, responsible, and hardworking, taking many beautiful photos for us and even guiding us on how to pose, which made us very happy. It turns out there were also many single young people on the tour, which I suppose made it feel safer. Honestly, I'm not just saying this for her, but I hope everyone considers giving a small tip. Five to ten euros per person isn't excessive, because Ms. Cheung put in a lot more effort and passion compared to guides from other foreign-led tours. Tipping isn't mandatory, but I still suggest everyone give Ms. Cheung enough to buy a soda. You know, sodas are quite expensive in Germany, even in supermarkets they're two euros a bottle. So, it's very convenient that they offer cold sodas on the bus for about 2 euros each; please support them. Overall, we took many beautiful photos during the Königssee boat trip and also visited the Magic Forest. Ms. Cheung gave us clear directions. Although there was some walking involved, it was an unavoidable part of the local tours I took in Munich over several days. In fact, every tour required a fair bit of walking, so if your legs tend to get tired, I recommend bringing a telescopic walking stick for more comfort. Of course, you don't have to bring one. This tour was one of the most worthwhile I participated in. Highly recommended. Regarding the meeting point, I was a bit worried before arriving in Munich, but it turned out to be very easy. You just need to go to the meeting point, which is a bus terminal called ZOB, located in a shopping center. You can easily find it using Google Maps. It's approximately one stop after the main train station, near a station called Hackersbuckie. As soon as you get off the train and cross the bridge, you can enter ZOB. The supermarket inside is cheap and seems to be open until 11 PM, unlike other supermarkets that only close at 8 PM. This is the central bus terminal, with many buses parked downstairs. You just need to go to Lane 8 for the meeting. Another great thing about this tour is that they communicate with you via WeChat. The day before, Ms. Cheung used WeChat to inform us about the meeting point and time, keeping in touch with us, which is perfect for those of us who use WeChat.

This was a highly recommended nature tour that visited two attractions. We took a boat ride on Königssee (King's Lake) and were able to walk along the shore. The river scenery in the Magic Forest was beautiful. Our tour guide, Xiao Zhang, was very responsible and professional, providing detailed explanations and proactively helping group members take photos.

The scenery at Königssee is beautiful. I highly recommend eating grilled trout and drinking beer. For dessert, have the Austrian Kaiserschmarrn. Although it rained in the afternoon when I went to the Zauberwald, I experienced another kind of beautiful scenery.

On June 15, there were 32 people in this group led by Zhang. She shared information about King's Lake very attentively on the bus and took photos for us from time to time. It was great! However, she didn't explain the arrangement of the return boat trip very clearly, and some group members returned a little late. On the return bus, she also shared recommendations for Munich restaurants and attractions. 👍🏻 June is already very hot, it is recommended to go from October to May!

It was raining on the day we set off to King Lake, but luckily the tour guide was very good and asked everyone if they could swap the itinerary so that we could have a chance to see the sun stop when we went to King Lake in the afternoon! Fortunately, the rain stopped after lunch, and King Lake was beautiful! The other magic forest was also very beautiful! The tour guide Miss Yang gave a lot of basic introductions to Germany and also shared interesting stories about leading the group! We really like the tour guide and driver we matched this time👍

Königssee (King's Lake) is truly beautiful, like a postcard-perfect landscape. Our guide, Zhang, provided an excellent and very detailed introduction. She was happy to answer any questions we had about Germany. If you have the chance, take a boat to the Upper Lake area; I hear it's even more stunning!

Hailey, our tour guide, was professional and humorous, a perfect 💯! The two-hour drive flew by while listening to stories about German history, culture, and lifestyle. It was raining at Königssee that day, which added to the picturesque beauty. Afterwards, we strolled through the Black Forest trail, a pleasant walk along the lake. I hope to have the opportunity to join Hailey's tour again in the future.

Thank you to our guide, Wang, for explaining some historical stories and important notes on where to buy delicious food and tickets in Munich. I feel very lucky today. It snowed the day before, and today is a sunny day. It's truly the best Christmas gift! 🎄

Overall, it was a great experience and worth joining this tour. It saved a lot of time searching for transportation, and the scenery was absolutely stunning. However, please note that this tour doesn't include a visit to the Upper Lake (Obersee). You'll need to take a short additional ride to the Salet Pier and pay an extra 7 euros (cash only) to get to the Upper Lake. Be aware that time is very tight; if you go to the Upper Lake, you won't have time for lunch, so keep that in mind. The Magic Forest is also well worth a visit. Initially, after reading reviews, I thought it would be boring, but I actually found it more beautiful than the Upper Lake. One thing to note is that at the crossroads in the Magic Forest, it's recommended that the tour guide take a photo first and then inform the group which direction to go, as there's a chance of going the wrong way.
