Review Neuschwanstein Castle Chinese Guided Day Tour from Munich

best ever package bought from Klook for my Europe trip. wang is the tour guide and she is super friendly and very attentive. she not only explain about Neuschwanstein Castle but she told us the story about Bavaria too. gave us some tips where to eat or go around in Munich. very recommend tour for everyone who wish to go Neuschwanstein Castle. i like the part when they added us to WeChat group and give all information whereabouts. not like other tour like Hallstatt or CK town in Prague

This tour visited Neuschwanstein Castle, Wieskirche, and Oberammergau. We departed on time in the morning and returned to Munich as scheduled in the afternoon, so the timing was managed perfectly! There was ample time allotted for each attraction, so we never felt rushed. Our tour guide, Ms. Wang, was very enthusiastic, provided detailed explanations of the itinerary, and shared many insights into German culture, which I found very enriching!

The itinerary included three attractions: Neuschwanstein Castle, which had beautiful scenery but was very crowded, and taking the bus was chaotic. We only toured inside the castle for 30 minutes, and photography wasn't allowed. Wieskirche Church was ordinary, but the grassland outside the church was beautiful for photos. The Painted Houses were also ordinary; the only benefit was free restrooms. Our tour guide, Xiao Zhang, was very professional and responsible, providing detailed explanations.

The weekday activity had a group of 8 participants (excluding the guide, Xiao Zhu). The first stop was Oberammergau, where Xiao Zhu explained the history of the painted village, including the difficulty of preserving the murals, as not every homeowner is willing to spend a large sum of money to repair and preserve them. Next was the second stop, Wieskirche - you can go inside to visit, and the scenery outside is beautiful, you can see part of the Alps (the guide mentioned that the Alps are a very long mountain range). Then we arrived at Neuschwanstein Castle - first to a designated drop-off point, where you can eat and buy some souvenirs, and then choose one of three options (walk uphill, take the bus, or take a horse-drawn carriage). On the way up the mountain, you will see Hohenschwangau Castle (from a distance). Xiao Zhu had already explained the history before arriving. Then enter Neuschwanstein Castle (if your reservation time is a certain time, you can enter up to 30 minutes early). You can go in and take a look at the courtyard first, and then wait until the time comes to start the tour with your ticket. At the very beginning, you walk up the castle's spiral staircase all the way up, and then reach a fixed point. The screen will show that you cannot take photos or videos. Then tell the staff what language you want, and they will give you a guided tour device. After the tour, you will go to the souvenir shop (two in total, one of which you will reach after walking down). After visiting the entire route, you can choose to walk down or take a horse-drawn carriage down. After reaching the original drop-off point, it's time to return.

This was honestly one of the best tours I have ever joined. Visiting Neuschwanstein Castle, Wieskirche, and Oberammergau all in one day was an amazing experience. The places themselves are beautiful and full of history, but what really made the trip special was our tour guide.

He was super, super friendly, caring, and thoughtful throughout the whole day. He shared many interesting stories and was very knowledgeable about the places we visited. You could really feel that he was trying his best to give us the best experience possible. Everything was explained clearly and the guidance was excellent, so the whole trip felt very smooth and enjoyable.

The car was also very comfortable, which made the journey even better.

I truly loved this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Definitely a memorable experience.

The weather on the day of the tour was excellent, and the interior of Neuschwanstein Castle was magnificent and highly recommended for a visit. Additionally, the ice cream in the mural village was delicious, and Wieskirche Church was also well worth seeing. It left us with wonderful memories!

Waiting at the station for departure at 8:10 AM. Tour members and the guide appeared on time. All three attractions were very appealing. At the church, you can see the Alps in the distance, which is very spectacular. Of course, Neuschwanstein Castle is the most special attraction. The exterior is already very dreamy. After entering, climbing the stairs, you see many exquisite and delicate architectural designs, making it well worth a visit inside. It's a pity that taking photos inside is not allowed, but it's all in my mind.

Yang is a knowledgeable and professional guide. On the day of the tour, it snowed, and she prioritized safety in transportation, which was very reassuring! Through her rich and vivid historical accounts and introductions, I gained a better understanding of this city and country. Before the trip, I was worried that the weather would prevent me from enjoying myself, but unexpectedly, this day trip became one of my most memorable experiences. Highly recommended!

Director Zhang is the most considerate and understanding tour guide I've ever met. She waits for everyone to finish using the restroom before moving on, and even when faced with unexpected situations, her timing is impeccable. When we went to Neuschwanstein Castle, due to a heavy rainstorm, we couldn't go at the originally scheduled time, but she immediately had a countermeasure, allowing us to visit Hohenschwangau Castle as well. From the bus, you could feel Director Zhang's passion for her profession. She enthusiastically explained German history stories to us, which were very interesting and enjoyable. She also doesn't take us to stores that give kickbacks. She even introduced some truly delicious famous restaurants in Munich, and when we actually went, they were really delicious 😋 (No need to report the tour guide's name). I hope I can join Director Zhang's tour again next time I come 👍 (Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture of Director Zhang - she's a slim Chinese girl wearing a hat).

The tour guide relied too heavily on WeChat communication. When leading the tour through the town, she only focused on moving forward and didn't wait for everyone to gather before providing information, which meant she only informed those who were closely following her. Important information wasn't provided in advance on the bus when everyone was together. After touring the town, when I asked about restrooms, she said it was mentioned on WeChat multiple times, but I was in the back and didn't hear it. I felt the tour guide was unprofessional and didn't ensure everyone received the information (I joined another tour two days later with the same guide and it was slightly improved). Taking photos of the swans from the bridge is the most beautiful, so it's worth taking the time to wait for the best spot. Neuschwanstein Castle is worth visiting, although photos aren't allowed in some parts, there's a balcony where you can photograph the surrounding scenery. You can also see another castle while walking down the mountain.
