Review Fort Santiago Ticket in Intramuros Manila

This is the second place I visited after Baluarte de San Diego. The voucher redemption process was quick and easy; just show the voucher to the staff near the ticket booth. Fort Santiago is a historical fortress in Intramuros, Manila, Philippines, built by the Spanish in 1571. It witnessed various significant events in Philippine history, especially related to the independence struggle. The fort is famous as the final prison of the Philippine national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, before his execution in 1896.

It was a spontaneous evening when I decided to go in to make my MNL trip worthwhile. No regrets, it was so peaceful, no crowds, only me and the local cats having a fun tour. The kitties accompanied me everywhere I go, and of course I felt honored. I saw the area where they put cardboard boxes, drinking water fountain, & food bowls! I hope these are well maintained as well, so much compassion for our beloved felines. Anyway, I love the vibe of the place, I felt safe even on the less lit areas where I traverse at. I value history even if I don’t know much or may have forgotten some knowledge from school days. It’s always a love-hate relationship between what happened before and now. So much things has changed but this place remains the same like how it should be. Also, kudos to the people who worked extra mile to make the place clean, safe, &, more importantly preserved the structures and buildings that’s been a great evidence of the past. It’s better to purchase the tickets on Klook to avoid the long queue. I was able to enter right away and my kids had fun. You’ll just have to bring water, towel and extra tshirt because it’s so hot while walking inside the Fort Santiago. It’s highy recommended and educational as well.

fort Santiago at night is a must do, especially during summer. the place has a different vibe and the stillness of the night with the lights makes it an experience. the workers have more time to answer your questions as well.

It was a shame that the dungeons were closed at the time we were there. It would have made the ticket more value-for-money. Still, it's worth the visit for its historical value. Don't miss the museum dedicated to Rizal inside.

The place was really nice, packed with historical landmarks! There were a lot of people and it was a really hot day but its still worth it! We enjoyed the scenery specially the dungeon, it gave me the chills. Just hope there will be more benches to rest. Would recommend to others its 10/10.

Booked the Intramuros Pass through Klook and it was totally worth it! We visited during Halloween, and the whole place had a more spooky and mysterious vibe — the dim lights, old stone walls, and historic ruins really made it feel like stepping back in time. It was both fun and eerie in the best way!
