Review [Chinese Commentary] Stargazing Guide at Tekapo Dark Sky Reserve|Lake Tekapo, New Zealand

We took a shuttle bus to the stargazing site at 10:25 PM. It was quite cold that night, and we stood outside stargazing for over an hour, but there were sheep-shaped blankets to keep warm. Because it was the eighth day of the lunar month, the moon's brightness made the stars less impressive than on the first day. However, the tour guide gave us a stargazing photo as a gift at the end, and it turned out great! The guide said the 12:15 PM session would have even more beautiful starlight, but it ended close to 2 AM, so most people chose the earlier session. We finished our visit and returned to our accommodation around midnight. The entire stargazing experience was fantastic, and the guide explained everything very thoroughly, making it a wonderful night for everyone.

The Chinese explanations were easy to understand, and the guide was very eloquent. Although the clouds obscured the view later, the overall experience was excellent.

It was richer than I thought. In addition to listening to the explanation, I also used a telescope to watch the moon and Saturn. I also saw 3 meteors during the whole process.

It is worth a look. You can see the Milky Way with the naked eye. You can take clear photos of the Milky Way with a full-frame camera with a wide-angle 16mm f/1.8.

The shuttle bus arrived at the agreed time. Under the vast starry sky, there was an interesting commentary, and they also helped take photos. The family photo with the starry sky as the background was quite memorable. It is a highly recommended itinerary!

The tour guide introduced the constellations that can be seen in this season, as well as many famous stars, combining Chinese culture and history. Finally, he helped each group take photos with the starry sky. It was a pity that it was too cold and we didn't have the pleasure to enjoy it for too long.
