ゴールデントライアングルだとミャンマー、ラオス、タイに川を跨いで隣接しており、タイの電波からラオスやミャンマーに切り替わったりネットも繋がらなかったりとかなり不便を感じたのでラオスのeSIMも購入しました。タイとラオスのネットではミャンマー付近ではネットは使えませんでしたが、ミャンマーから離れたところだとゴールデントライアングルからチェンセンまではラオスのこちらのネットが使えました。他も調べてみたところ、ラオスのeSIMだとこちらが1番安かったです。

After using it for 10 days, the signal was generally normal and stable, except in some areas where environmental factors caused poor signal. After the 10th day, I tried a store and found that I could recharge 10,000 kip to extend my internet connection for 3 days.

I crossed the border from Thailand by bus this time. Activation went smoothly and it worked normally. I had some trouble with tethering, but I managed to get it working eventually. I think it's good value for money.

Before departing in Japan, I scanned the QR code and downloaded the eSIM. When I arrived in Laos and switched to the SIM, it started working immediately without any further settings. (I might have turned on roaming, though I'm not sure if it was necessary.) I didn't know the phone number, so it was a bit tricky, but I found it by using the inquiry form for remaining usage charges that was written on the PDF of the QR code.
