Review Paris Palace of Versailles Ticket with Tour Guide and Transportation ( Optional )

Look for staff in red vests in the square before entering Versailles Palace to check in. A guide will then meet you and lead you through the group entrance for a brief guided tour (about an hour). After that, you're free to explore on your own. Our ticket included the gardens (a separate ticket is required for the gardens). Although it was raining, everything was wonderful! ❤️

It is good to have pick up service since the weather is extremely hot and sunny. Tour gudie delivered stories and history behind the pictures, which is very good.

Gather in front of the Pullman Hotel in the morning. The tour guide will lead you to the bus and introduce the scenery along the way. After entering the Palace of Versailles, there will be a hall-by-hall explanation, which is a highly recommended itinerary

The guide meeting point is obvious and it is easy to find the guide upon arrival. I made an appointment in advance through Gate B on the right side of the Palace of Versailles to enter the museum, and was able to avoid the long queues. I was very satisfied!

It was very good for people don’t want to be confused by first time using public transportation from Paris to the Versailles. The time is not too long and it suitable for people who not really into the deep history, but may not enough for people who enjoy the history and want to spend the whole day there. I remember they also have that whole day option.

Overall was very nice for me. Perfect timing at least to have evening in Paris for other things. The guide also provided a sufficient information to learn and get to know the Versailles from people who not really deep into the history.

It is very splendid, but if you can do a little homework before departure and cooperate with the introduction of the tour guide at that time, you will definitely feel better. If you can choose non-holidays, the crowds are too much and affect the quality of viewing.

I joined a half-day tour to visit the Palace of Versailles. I took a tour bus in the center of Paris at 11 o'clock and arrived at the Palace of Versailles in 40 minutes. Upon arrival, the tour leader was already waiting for the group members at the drop-off point. After the headphones and tickets are distributed to us, we can follow the tour guide directly into the Palace of Versailles without having to wait in long lines to enter. This is very good and can save a lot of time. The leader spent more than an hour in a relaxed and interesting way, focusing on the places, paintings, furniture, and French history in the palace, allowing us to understand the Palace of Versailles better. After that, you can continue to visit the palace freely, or go out to visit the gardens, until it is time to return to where you dropped off and take the tour bus back to the city center. It’s just that half a day is not enough time to visit. In the end, we did not take the tour bus back to the center of Paris. We visited by ourselves until almost 6 pm, and then took the train back to the city center at our own expense. Highly recommend joining this one-day tour.
