Featuring nearly 110 precious objects from 14 major cultural institutions, including 16 grade-one national treasures, the exhibition presents the origins, formation, and development of Chinese civilisation. The treasures on display include ceramics, jades, stone sculptures, bone objects, bronze objects, and more, dating back to the mid-to-late Neolithic period and up to the Xia dynasty (8,200 to 3,500 years before the present). Nearly all the loans are displayed in Hong Kong for the first time

Visiting "Ancient Egypt Unveiled" at the Hong Kong Palace Museum was a phenomenal highlight of my recent trip! Seeing these magnificent treasures direct from Egyptian museums right in the heart of Hong Kong was incredibly convenient. The curation is world-class, beautifully illuminating the rich history, mythology, and daily life of the pharaohs. The artifacts, from stunning jewelry to intricately carved sarcophagi, are displayed with fantastic lighting and informative, easy-to-read bilingual descriptions. One of the reasons we wanted to go here was because of the temporary Egypt Exhibition and it was worth the ticket and more! There were so many artifacts and even the other galleries were very interesting and it was so impressive to see the craftsmanship. The museum is also very pretty in of itself and the view of the Harbour is beautiful.

There is free electric car go to Palace Museum from M+. Able to use QR code and directly go in. You can spend at least 3hours inside. Have eating places inside too. Souvenir store is nice. walking to kowloon mtr station around 10 to 15mins.

Beautiful building, location was easy to access by car though the carpark was a bit small. We bought the standard ticket was able to see beaurtiful Chinese history. I’m especially fond of the Chinese textiles spent a long time looking at the historical robes.

Once inside, there are some high-end restaurants and a Starbucks where you can buy a small selection of drinks and food. You can't bring water in because you have to go through a security check before entering, but you can bring an empty bottle to fill up at certain locations! The Egypt exhibit (Hall 9) runs until the end of August (it takes about two hours to go through, with some text explanations; I didn't read all of them). There are also different exhibits on other floors, which are quite good and worth seeing. If you want to see all the exhibits, it would take at least 5 hours.

Booking tickets in advance on Klook allowed us to simply scan the QR code upon arrival at the venue for entry, which was incredibly convenient and smooth. This ancient Egyptian civilization exhibition was truly worth the ticket price. Not only could we see over a hundred exhibits with our own eyes, but the venue also featured a short film introducing Tutankhamun's tomb, which was truly eye-opening! Overall, this exhibition was very engaging and deepened my interest and knowledge of ancient Egyptian civilization. After exploring the exhibition, you can visit the shop next to the exhibition hall to purchase various interesting merchandise as souvenirs. Additionally, the museum's restaurant offers an Egyptian-themed menu for everyone to enjoy.

The Egypt exhibition is definitely worth seeing! We purchased tickets for the 4:15 PM guided tour. After entering, a museum staff member informed us to register in the main lobby at 4:00 PM by simply showing our admission QR code. Afterward, the tour guide distributed headphones to everyone, which was very thoughtful and made it easy for them to explain things to us in the exhibition hall. The guided tour was only 45 minutes long, and the guide shared many stories about Egypt as we walked, which was incredibly helpful for understanding Egyptian culture. Additionally, there are other exhibition halls within the museum that are also well worth visiting.

As soon as I entered the Egypt exhibition, I was deeply impressed. It truly felt like I was in Egypt experiencing the exhibition. I saw many pharaohs from different eras and their daily life artifacts, and even mummies. I hope to have the chance to visit Egypt someday. Absolutely wonderful and worth visiting! It was truly eye-opening to see so many authentic artifacts up close, not replicas. It was my first time seeing a cat mummy! It really takes half a day to go through all the exhibition halls. The museum thoughtfully provides small stools for loan; if you get tired from walking, you can take one out and sit down. 👍🏻 They are located next to the entrance, so you can pick one up if needed.

Beyond the exhibits themselves, the National Palace Museum's grand staircase paired with floor-to-ceiling glass windows creates a serene atmosphere, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the exhibition and museum experience.
