Review SHIBUYA SKY Ticket
Shibuya Sky, located at the top of the Shibuya Scramble Square building, offers breathtaking 360° views of Tokyo. At 229 meters (754 feet) high, you can spot many famous sights from the rooftop like the Shinjuku skyline, Tokyo Bay, Yoyogi Park, Tokyo Skytree, and even Mt. Fuji on a clear day. Whether you're a local or a tourist, visiting Shibuya Sky is an experience you won't want to miss.
## Shibuya Sky Zones
Check out Shibuya Sky’s main attractions:
**1. Sky Gate**
As you enter Shibuya Sky, you'll step into the "Sensing Hall" and line up for the elevators to the 46th floor. As you ride up, check out the animations displayed on the ceiling.
**2. Sky Gallery**
The Sky Gallery is the indoor observation deck on the 46th floor. There are plenty of art installations like the Time River, Parallel Windows, and Data Scape, each offering a different way to experience the city view.
**3. Sky Stage**
On the top floor, there is an outdoor rooftop area, where you'll find several attractions to explore:
* Sky Edge is the most famous spot to take pictures on the rooftop. The glass barrier is low enough that it doesn’t get in the way of your shots, giving you a clear view of the city below.
* On the rooftop, you can chill in the Cloud Hammocks, which hang off the edge of the helipad. Relax and take in the breathtaking Tokyo skyline from these comfy spots.
* The Geo Compass is a digital device that helps you spot landmarks and attractions in Tokyo.
* At night, don't miss the Crossing Light show, where 18 beams create a stunning light display in the sky.

Today, we're talking about Shibuya Sky, a must-visit observation deck hot spot in Tokyo that you absolutely cannot miss.
I originally wanted to go during the famous sunset time, but as expected, it's incredibly popular, and reservations were already full. 😭
Reluctantly, I booked the 1 PM slot and went, and to cut to the chase, I was completely satisfied! The refreshing charm of the daytime was truly amazing. ☀️
I purchased my tickets in advance through Klook and then visited. When I arrived, I didn't have to wait in line at the ticket counter; I just showed the QR code on my smartphone, and I was able to enter right away! It's incredibly convenient, especially since you don't have to worry about language barriers, so I highly recommend booking in advance.
As soon as I stepped onto the rooftop via the escalator, I was filled with awe. The endless Tokyo cityscape stretched out beneath the blue sky, and it truly felt like my chest was opening up.
The refreshing atmosphere completely erased any disappointment I had about missing the sunset. The escalator, with its all-glass sides, offered such an Instagrammable vibe as I went down, and I think I went up and down countless times just to take photos! 📸 If it had been sunset, the line would have been incredibly long, but at this time, I just went up and down repeatedly.
The rooftop features a spacious green lawn area (a helicopter landing pad), where many people were comfortably lying or sitting on the grass, enjoying their leisure time. I also lay down, gazing at the blue sky, and it was pure bliss.
At Shibuya Sky's signature corner glass photo zone (Shibuya Stage), you can capture some amazing life-shot photos with the Tokyo cityscape as your backdrop, so be sure to wait in line and get some fantastic pictures!
"Don't be disappointed if sunset time is sold out!"
Visiting at 1 PM on a clear day was the best choice for seeing a refreshing and clear view of Tokyo.
If you want to experience both a wide-open feeling and healing at the same time, I wholeheartedly recommend Shibuya Sky!

We really loved it here. Yes, it was very crowded, but the experience was truly amazing. We got lucky because the weather cleared up and it became sunny right as we were entering the building, so we were able to see the whole city. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see Mt. Fuji 🗻, but it was still absolutely worth it, especially for the low price of about $12 USD. One thing to know is that you NEED to book at least two weeks in advance, when we arrived people were upset they couldn’t buy tickets. But especially if you want to go during sunset hours. I tried getting sunset tickets, but they sold out instantly before I could even enter the number of tickets we needed. If you’re going solo, it seems easier, as I saw single tickets available for each time slot. Also you can book directly through Shibuya Sky, and you’re much more likely to get those tickets. I found this out after booking through Klook. Just Google how to book directly but you’ll need a VPN and set your location to Japan.

Beginning of May. We were lucky enough to get a sunset booking and it was worth it! We booked for 5.20pm and sunset was at 6.30pm. Would have loved to have had a drink at the bar while up there, but too busy and the bar was full. My claustrophobic husband hated the elevator ride with the ‘ceiling show’ but he said it was worth it for the experience. Take a jacket with you as the temp and wind was cool. You can stay as long as you like, but we decided not too stay for night lights as there were so many people up there that had to get down and if we all left at the same time the line up would have been huge. Gift shop at exit with so many beautiful items. Highly recommend this to everyone.

Visiting was definitely one of the highlights of our Tokyo trip! The skyline view is absolutely stunning, especially around sunset.
A quick tip for anyone planning: tickets open 15 days in advance (Japan time), and the sunset slots get sold out within minutes. We tried multiple times to grab that perfect timing but finally managed to book a 15:20 slot after quite a struggle.
Though it felt a bit too early and we had to wait for hours to catch the sunset. By then, it got extremely crowded since everyone from earlier slots stays back for the same view. It does take away a bit from the experience as the space gets packed.
But honestly, once the sun starts setting and the city lights begin to glow, it’s all worth it. The view is magical and unforgettable despite the wait and the crowd.

My family and I arrived 40 minutes early, fearing we would miss our appointment. We were then kindly asked to return at our scheduled time. 15 minutes later, we checked again and were allowed to join the line with our timeslot. The staff didn't speak much, but they were efficient and friendly. You could tell some of the employees were a bit tired, but they still made an effort to be professional. There's not much to say about the view, other than it was a unique and breathtaking experience. Absolutely worth the money. I would book it again.

Visiting Shibuya Sky was an unforgettable experience. The panoramic views of Tokyo from the rooftop observatory were absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset when the city lights slowly began to sparkle. The atmosphere felt peaceful yet exciting, and the open-air deck made it easy to fully take in the skyline from every angle. Everything was well organized, from entry to the elevators, and the staff were helpful throughout the visit. It’s a must-see spot in Tokyo that beautifully combines modern design with one of the best city views in the world.

very recommended experience in Tokyo. though I fought with all my life strength and got the sunset ticket, the most mesmerizing time is 30min after sunset, when the city lights up. so, don’t get obsessed like me for the sunset cause that can be meh, but the city will always light up and be beautiful.

A beautiful must-visit in Tokyo. The view is amazing, a 360-degree panorama. Entry was smooth (also well-indicated) at Shibuya Station. You cannot buy tickets online for children (under 11 years old). These can be purchased at the counter on the 14th floor (at access control) and cost ¥1,200.

Make sure to book your ticket in advance since they can get sold out. Everything is picturesque, the sky is so clear and the escalator is very aesthetic. I went at around 3pm during golden week so the sun is out. Best to wear shades. There are various photo spots to line up for but unfortunately, their official photographer did not set his camera correctly so our photo became too bright, but then atleast it saved us some money. There’s a very nice indoor observatory too so be sure to check out that one.
