A very nice travel experience taking the high-speed railway from Tainan to Taipei, only took 2 hours, comparing with other options which may take double the time. The train itself was quite comfortable with lots of leg room and a nice window view.

How do I collect my HSR ticket?
Travelers who book a one-way ticket will receive 1 booking code. Travelers who book a round-trip ticket will receive 2 booking codes, one for the outbound journey and one for the return journey.

2. Collect your ticket at Taiwan High Speed Rail partner convenience stores (7-11, FamilyMart, Hi-Life, OK Mart). A handling fee of TWD 10 per ticket will be charged. It was my first time on a high-speed train in Taiwan. I have never ridden in one. The train arrived on time and left on time! Some trains in the USA could never do that! The regular class seats were very comfortable and able to recline where it does not disturb the passenger directly behind you. The crew on the train offered snacks and drinks. You have to pay for them unless you are in business class. Overall, a fantastic, scenic, professional, and comfortable experience. I look forward to riding on Taiwan's HSR trains in the future.
