Review Milford Sound Day Tour from Queenstown or Te Anau by GreatSight
Enjoy a full-day tour of New Zealand's most famous natural attraction, Milford Sound. Located deep within the Fiordland National Park, the stunning natural attraction is brimming with mountain peaks, ink-dark waters, dramatic cliffs, and spectacular snow-capped peaks. The tour starts early in the morning with a pick-up from your hotel in Queenstown or Te Anau. You'll venture under the mountains through the Homer Tunnel to get to Fiordland National Park. Other stops before the main event include the pristine Mirror Lakes, Knobs Flat, where glaciers have carved their mark on the terrain, and Monkey Creek, where you can sample some of the purest waters in the world! Then, board your eco-cruise as soon as you arrive, and enjoy the two-hour cruise around the park's highlights, including many waterfalls, magnificent land formations, and more!

We participated in a tour departing Queenstown at 7:20 AM and arriving back in Queenstown at 8:00 PM. On the way there, we had a short break in Te Anau, and the guide also took us to Mirror Lakes and other photo spots. On the way back, we had another short break in Te Anau. We joined the 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM cruise and received a lunch box containing a sandwich, an apple, and cookies. The tour ran perfectly on schedule, and our guide provided many explanations. It was a very satisfying tour! The only downside was the weather.

I highly recommend this trip for anyone visiting Queenstown. A very long but comfortable ride. Made stops to some really picturesque spots before doing the cruise. Lastly, our bus driver Adrian was really nice.

My family and I had a great time on this tour. Mr. Chao, the driver, was informative and gave thorough instructions on pick up points throughout all the stops we made. It was an extremely rainy day, but that just made the waterfalls even more magical.

It was an absolutely delightful experience. The journey began with a four-hour bus ride, during which our guide impressed us with continuous, insightful commentary about the local geography, history, and wildlife. This enriched the travel experience immensely, transforming a simple bus ride into an informative adventure. Once we arrived, the cruise itself was marvelous—calm waters, stunning views of the fjord, and close encounters with the native wildlife. It was not just a visual feast but also very relaxing. This tour is highly recommended for anyone looking to explore one of New Zealand's most breathtaking natural wonders.

We happened to have clear skies on the day we went. Although we didn't catch the spectacular sight of a thousand waterfalls in full flow, it was still a very worthwhile trip — at least four or five waterfalls are "open for business" year-round. Along the way, we also stopped at several scenic spots, and the bus driver was quite witty and humorous, giving us introductions to the various activities available. Highly recommended.

Booking our Milford Sound Tour through Klook was one of the best decisions we made. We're so glad we didn't drive ourselves because the roads were wet and winding, allowing us to relax and enjoy the scenery instead. Our driver and guide, Eddie, was excellent—he drove safely, gave clear instructions about meeting points and timings, and kept us entertained with informative commentaries about the South Island throughout the journey.
The cruise itself was smooth and comfortable, and the captain shared interesting facts and historical stories about Milford Sound. We also booked the picnic lunch, and the chicken sandwich was delicious, complete with fruit, dessert, crisps, and snacks. Milford Sound was absolutely breathtaking and truly lived up to the hype. Everything was well organized, and it was genuinely an experience of a lifetime. Highly recommended!
