## The 86th Floor Observation Deck
The 86th floor of the Empire State Building is an open-air observation deck. It has 360° views of New York City, where you can see Central Park, the Hudson River, the Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, and even the Statue of Liberty.

On a clear day, the view stretches across six states: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Delaware.

## Other Exhibits Inside the Empire State Building
Find these popular exhibits on the second floor of the Empire State Building:
* King Kong: The legendary King Kong is back at the Empire State Building, with his massive hands breaking through the walls. Feel him growl, and see planes circling outside the windows like in the original 1933 film.
* Construction Exhibit: Experience the construction of the Empire State Building with the sights and sounds of ironworkers and masons in action. Don’t miss the bronze sculptures of the workers—great for memorable photos.
* World’s most famous building: A 72-screen theater showing the building's iconic role in pop culture. Check out a montage of 600 clips from commercials, movies, TV shows, comics, and games featuring this famous Manhattan building.

## Empire State Building Tips
Here are tips to make the most out of your visit:
## Should I buy Empire State Building tickets ahead of time?
Buy your Empire State Building tickets in advance to skip the long lines at the ticket booth, and secure your spot before they sell out. With your tickets ready, you can head straight to the elevators, and go straight up to the exhibits and the 86th floor.
## What time should you visit the Empire State Building?
The best times to visit are weekdays during the morning or after 8 PM. During these hours, the Empire State Building observatory is less crowded.
## How long should you visit the Empire State Building?
Plan on spending about one to two hours during your visit. But, if you want to visit all nine exhibits and enjoy the breathtaking views from the 86th-floor observation deck, think about extending your visit.

Iconic, breathtaking views – a must-do at least once

Visiting the Empire State Building was a truly memorable experience. The tickets were a bit pricey — around ₱8,000 for two people, which is approximately $140 USD — but I’d say it was worth it, especially if it’s your first time in New York.

Pros:
• Smooth check-in process – Everything was organized, and the flow from entry to the observatory was seamless.
• We got tickets that gave us access to all floors, including the 102nd floor, which offers incredible panoramic views.
• The Manhattan skyline from the top is just stunning – in my opinion, this is one of the best spots to take it all in.
• Seeing New York City at night from that height was magical – it really is the epitome of city lights.
• Although it was quite windy at the top, the experience was still absolutely worth it.

This is the kind of experience you only need once in your life, but it’s a bucket-list must when in NYC. Highly recommended.

It’s very convenient to buy here! Just arrive at the site five minutes before the appointment time. He goes in in stages, so there is no point in going too early. You only need klook's QRcode to enter❗No need to exchange tickets or anything like that. After entering, you will first go through security check, just like going through customs, and then the ticket will be inspected (swipe klook barcode). After entering, you will take a photo first, and at the end of the trip you can decide whether to buy it ($30~$50 depends on personal needs). Next, it’s like visiting a museum to see the history of the Empire State Building, and you can take photos of many of them! After finishing, you will take the elevator to the 80th floor. You can see out of the window here. After finishing, you will go up to the 86th floor, which is the outdoor observation deck! ! ! It's really great, but be careful to keep warm if it's cold and windy. It's really beautiful. The whole trip is highly recommended, you must come to New York👍

The tickets are easy to use, just give the QR code to the on-site staff to scan and enter. It is highly recommended to enter when the sun goes down. This time, we will enter in the winter time of January. The sun goes down around 16:00-17:00. You can take pictures of the sunset during the day and at night in one go. It’s very worth it!

Visiting the Empire State Building was an unforgettable experience. The towering structure itself is a marvel, and stepping into the historic lobby instantly transports you back in time. The ride up to the 86th-floor observatory was smooth and filled with anticipation. Once at the top, the panoramic views of New York City were breathtaking, offering a 360-degree vista of the skyline. I could see iconic landmarks like Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, and the Brooklyn Bridge. The combination of history, architecture, and stunning views made this visit truly exceptional, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting NYC.

Great views but can't see central park from 86 floor. Have to pay 34 bucks more to see 102. But nice open air area and night views are amazing. Views are great in the day as well

Booked on the same day and entered. Because the building was built nearly 100 years ago, there are many exhibits that evoke a sense of history, and I am impressed by the technological capabilities that allowed such a building to be built in that era. Because you can see all directions from the observatory, you can get a panoramic view of the New York City skyline. It is easily accessible from major tourist destinations such as Times Square.
