Review Shanghai Disneyland Ticket

The ticket is easy to use. Simply register upon purchase, using the name and details from your passport. Upon arrival at the gate, just present your passport for a photo and facial scan. You'll then receive your physical ticket and can enter immediately. If you've added a meal, scan the QR code on the back of the ticket, download the Shanghai Disneyland app, and follow the instructions to get coupons to use at recommended restaurants. Shanghai Disneyland is truly magnificent, befitting mainland China.
Ease of booking through Klook:
Amenities: Getting there is easy; you can take the metro directly to the entrance. You can also use DiDi, which is convenient to call. If you're with a group, splitting the cost makes it even more worthwhile. You should stay until the evening to watch the beautiful fireworks.
Wait times: If you go early in the morning, the gate opening times vary daily, so you'll need to check the wait times for rides. However, if you go on a weekday, the wait isn't long.

Had an enjoyable day at Shanghai Disneyland. If you are going without any kid, one day is enough to play most “adult” rides.

However, do take note that you won’t be getting any e-ticket after payment through Klook. You have to bring your registered document to collect the physical ticket at the park, after the security clearance. This means you will not be able to link your ticket to your SH Disney app beforehand to purchase Early Entrance pass etc. Luckily for us, it wasn’t too crowded today so we still get to enjoy the attractions like Zootopia and Tron.

Indeed, it is the happiest place on earth. Buying the ticket in Klook let you skip the hassle of buying it onsite and let you immediately line up to get inside the park. I had the best time exploring the park, completing my magic passport stamps, watching the parades, meet&greet some disney characters, and of course, getting mesmerized by the beautiful Illuminate (fireworks). and it’s Christmas vibe in the park too. Expect for many visitors especially during the weekend. I went on a Thursday, the line at the shops and rides were long. and make sure to download Disneyland App to get more information on rides and shows waiting time, and to guide you in getting around the park.

Wow, what an amazing couple of days! Very impressed by how clean the park was, all staff were very friendly and happy. Achieved everything we wanted to do during the two days, could of squeezed this into one but felt nice to not rush around and could take in the beautiful park, themed areas and rides over the two days. Had food at multiple locations, all was reasonable and tasted delicious, some items were character themed which was awesome. Booking the tickets was very easy and linking them to the Disney App was easy! Would love to return back to Disney Shanghai one day!

Booking Shanghai Disneyland tickets on Klook is very convenient; you just scan the QR code and enter directly, no need to queue for tickets. The park is very spacious, beautifully designed, and has many modern rides. My two favorite rides are TRON (perfect for thrill-seekers) and Pirates of the Caribbean, which has incredibly impressive effects.

Tip: You should go early to enjoy more rides and download the Shanghai Disney Resort app to view the map and wait times. In the evening, you should stay to watch the fireworks in front of the castle; they are beautiful. If you want a good view, arrive about 1-2 hours early to secure a spot.

Meal Coupon: I used mine at a restaurant in the Pirates of the Caribbean area. There were three dishes to choose from, and I picked the chicken and rice. The meal was presented in a cute boat shape, consisting of red bean rice, a flavorful chicken drumstick, green vegetables, and carrot cut into an anchor shape, along with a drink of choice. The food was delicious, the portion was quite satisfying, and it fit the pirate theme perfectly.

Overall, the experience was excellent, from booking tickets to enjoying the rides and dining. It's definitely worth trying when you visit Shanghai. 🏰🏴‍☠️✨

Buying the tickets on Klook was definitely the right choice. The key is to fill in your details exactly as stated in your passport — once you arrive, you can simply use your passport to enter.
You can check the ride queue times using the Disney app, and the waiting times shown are just estimates. For example, if it says 60 minutes, the actual wait is usually only around 30–40 minutes.
We purchased the ticket package with a meal voucher, and I think it was the best decision! We ate at Tangled Tree Tavern and ordered the Pork Roll with Stewed Meat Sauce and Black Rice and the BBQ Beef Brisket with Corn on the Cob and French Fries. The Pork Roll was definitely the best!
The most exciting rides were Tron and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Shanghai Disneyland was the last Disneyland I needed to visit so it was a must to go. Although it's bigger in size, I felt it had little in terms of rides compared to other Disneyland parks around the world. The few rides it did have were awesome such as Tron, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Zootopia: Hot Pursuit. Definitely do those and watch Captain Jack's stunt show. I did two days at the park, but I felt one day was enough to do everything if you go from opening to closing, granted it's not during peak season.

Ive been to 3 disneylands in Asia and this is the best one so far, there are many rides not in other disneylands, and significantly less crowd! we were able to roam around the park at our own pace. It rained for almost the whole day, that's our only challenge.

I felt that the level of detail was higher in the Japanese shows.

Characters are always coming to play, anytime, anywhere! The experience time is long and attentive 🩷Duffy and Friends have a super long wait time 🙄

The service is really sincere! When you ask a question, they answer politely using English or a translation device, wave at you, and add greetings and words of gratitude in conversations... I didn't have any unpleasant experiences 💗If I were to point out a difference from Japan, there were cast members who spoke quite loudly or were in a hurry when giving directions, but it gave the impression that they were just being extra attentive to guest control.

As expected of Disney quality, time just seemed to slip away just by looking at the details of the buildings 🥰Cleaning cast members also patrol the area, so there is a certain level of cleanliness. The grounds are just vast!

Overall, it's good! I was able to spend my time without any particular issues ✨However, there are cultural differences! While watching the parade, people push forward quite a bit. The faces and arms of the people behind you extend from your shoulder level (lol).
Also, there are a lot of loud people. Not only their speaking voices but I also saw several people yelling into their phones (trouble with companions?).
If I were to mention something a little disappointing, I saw several people cutting in line and spitting on the ground. I wasn't cut in front of very much. It's important to have the mindset of not letting them! 😉There was a man who crossed over the fence from a non-queueing area to enter the line, but a cast member immediately chased after him and kicked him out (lol). I was impressed with the park's attitude of not overlooking such things 💗I think spitting is also a cultural thing, but it doesn't feel good to see it in a clean place like the park. The park itself is clean and well maintained, so I hope that the guests' awareness will change someday.

I purchased 2-day tickets and entered the park on Friday and Saturday. It was reasonably crowded, and there were lines for the attractions, but the grounds are large, so it wasn't difficult to move around. The restaurants have plenty of seating, making it easy to take a break. Unlike Tokyo Disneyland, Shanghai Disneyland doesn't have a "jizo" culture (saving spots early). I was able to see the parade well even if I arrived just before it started. However, for the nighttime projection mapping, people started staking out spots about an hour beforehand, and 30 minutes before, it was pretty much standing room only from a distance. Many guests were also holding their cameras and phones high to take pictures, and the rules seem more relaxed here than at Maihama (Tokyo Disney Resort), so it feels a bit lawless. If you want to see it up close, it's best to aim for the front of the seating area early. I didn't feel like there was any risk of petty theft. The Zootopia area gets very crowded, so if you want to take pictures or participate in a meet-and-greet, I recommend arriving early. Thrill rides tend to be crowded, but the wait times are slightly shorter before and after the parade. Food and merchandise are about 1.5 times more expensive than at Maihama. There are many unique food options, such as spicy dishes and frog meat, which are worth trying. I only saw salt and caramel popcorn, so don't expect the variety that Maihama offers. There wasn't a system for entering lotteries for anything through the app. Many character greetings within the park don't have published times or locations, and there seemed to be impromptu events happening as well.
