Review Hallstatt Day Tour from Salzburg

personally I think the 2.5h in Hallstatt was sufficient. Hallstatt is a small town and it’s enough time to walk around as well as go up to the viewpoint on a day with good weather, though the ticket is pricey. there won’t be time for the salt mines though. you also pass by the lovely lakes in the Lake District along the way.

Thanks to you, I was able to visit Hallstatt very comfortably. I wish it had been a little longer, but because it was so beautiful, the 2 hours and 30 minutes felt really short. The entire trip was enjoyable thanks to the beautiful scenery outside the window and the guide's detailed explanations and humor~^^ If you are planning to use it, please note that you must exchange for a physical ticket. If you go late, there will be no seats and you will have to take the next bus, so it is better to go a little early.

Hallstatt is a charming and picturesque village that feels almost like a postcard brought to life. We visited Hallstatt on a one day tour organised by this tour agency, travelling by bus from Salzburg and back on Christmas Eve.

We arrived at around 10.15 am, and just as we stepped off the bus, it began to snow. The gentle snowfall created a magical atmosphere and provided a stunning backdrop to the beautiful streets and lakeside views. The village itself is small and serene, with a main street that is not very long, making it easy to explore on foot. Shops and stalls were just starting to open, adding to the calm and unhurried charm of the morning.

As it was a day trip with limited time, we did not manage to visit the salt mine, and the Skywalk was closed during our visit. Instead, we chose to slow down and enjoy the moment by spending some time in a cosy café, soaking in the views and the peaceful winter ambience.

We took a tour with our children and had a wonderful experience. Booking online was very convenient, and the meeting and departure times were punctual. Hallstatt is beautiful, and the scenery along the way, including the Alps and the lake district, was also stunning. It was a perfect trip, five-star rating!

I have booked 2 tickets ,very easy to find the starting point,we were d last one to reach but were on time , although the bus was full by the time we reached ther ,the bus had upper and lower decks ,we get the seats on upper deck,no fix seats ,it's like reach first and get ur favorite seats . bus started on time , the guide was giving live commentary,he expallaned everything on d way ,reached there and the village was seriously a dream village,2.5 hrs there is enough time to walk around the village till last point , visited all main attraction as suggested,also took beautiful photos ,on the way back had a coffee near bus stopage . If u need to go washroom ,than be ready to pay 1 Euro,as it's chargable at most of the places in Salzburg also. return journey was smooth . the driver was very professional. I would like to thank the tour guide Recherd,who had good knowledge,and had good communication skills,on the way back he had conversations with everyone on board. overall a must visit

Tourist guide was excellent, professional and knowledgeable, engaging well with her guests thru out the trip. 2.5 hr in Hallstatt seems short but well sufficient in small coastal town of 3km main street. The itinerary could be better if it starts later at 9 or 10am instead of 8.15 am especially during autumn or winter for better photo shots at later time with Sun and Blue sky.

I went to Salzburg specifically to use this product, and it was nice to be able to hear explanations about everything from Salzburg to Hallstatt. I chose the morning departure product, but in the description, one place says it departs at 8:15 and the other at 8:50, but the 8:15 departure is correct, and it would be good to note that you must exchange it for a boarding pass to board.

Booked our trip via Panaroma tours to Halstat and it was the best thing we did in our vacation. Ease of booking, overall comfort in getting there, history behind the place was just awesome!!!

The tour meeting point was convenient, the uncle on the bus gave a funny and detailed explanation, and the driver drove steadily. Joining the tour is convenient and you don't need to arrange your own transportation. If you arrange your own transportation, you need to transfer three buses, and if you take the train, you need to transfer once to a train and then take a boat. The only downside is that the visit time is only 2 and a half hours. It would be ideal if it were an hour and a half longer.

Since it is a popular area, it may seem difficult and expensive to tour, but it is worth the experience. From the meeting point to the bus ride, the guide tells a story (he speaks good English). After arrival, you can freely tour or accompany the guide. The seat where you can get a better view of the outside scenery during the trip is on the left side of the bus (behind the driver), and I think the view on the left side was better when returning after sightseeing. I didn't enter the salt mine, but you should definitely go to the observatory reached by taking the funicular. I think it would be good. You can see the wonderful scenery higher and wider. (Purchased locally on the funicular) This is a great product that allows you to comfortably enjoy the Hallstatt day tour departing from Salzburg.
