## Why Visit Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary?
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is a must-visit wildlife park in Gold Coast, Queensland. Founded in 1947, it all started when Alex Griffiths fed lorikeets to keep them away from local farms. Soon, it attracted visitors to see these colorful birds up close.

Since then, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has become one of Australia's top wildlife parks, spreading across 27 hectares of eucalyptus groves and rainforests. You'll find iconic Aussie critters like the koalas and kangaroo, alongside more exotic species like lemurs and red pandas. You can also get up close with native creatures, watch wildlife shows, and explore themed attractions like Lost Valley and Extinction Trail.

But, this isn’t just a place to see exotic wildlife. The sanctuary is dedicated to animal conservation, education, and research. It houses one of the busiest wildlife hospitals in the country, where over 10,000 animals are treated year-round.

So, whether you're into nature, a family looking for adventure, or just really into saving animals, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary promises a memorable experience.
## The Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Experience
Check out these awesome attractions for your next visit:
* Hand-feed several wild lorikeets. They'll happily eat straight from your hand or rest on your head and shoulders.
* Catch the free-flying bird show for an incredible display of Australia's birdlife.
* Visit one of the wildlife hospitals to watch our awesome vets and nurses care for sick, injured, and orphaned animals
* Hop aboard the miniature train for a relaxing ride and see the park from a new angle
* Learn about the Aboriginal culture through interactive exhibits and lively performances

## Planning Your Visit
Here are some tips to make the most out of your visit:
* **Best Times to Go:** The sanctuary is open year-round, but go in the morning to beat the crowds and catch the animals when they're most active.
* **Tickets and Admission Fees:** Grab your Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary tickets ahead of time to skip the lines.
* **Getting There:** Located on the Gold Coast Highway, you can easily drive to Currumbin Sanctuary by car or public transport.

**What are the opening hours of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary?**
The park is open from 8 AM to 4 PM daily.
## Will there be food available inside the sanctuary?
There are many dining options at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, including the Homestead, Sanctuary Café, and Wild Burgers, perfect for refueling after a day of exploring.
## How long does it take to go through Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary?
Visitors typically spend 3 to 4 hours exploring the sanctuary but for a full experience—including animal encounters, shows, exhibits, and dining— you should plan for a full day.

This zoo tour is an amazing experience that everyone should try at least once! After spending the morning there, I could see that the entire staff and volunteers are highly professional and genuinely care about the animals. Their dedication creates a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for the animals, making them more comfortable with visitors. I even booked a photo with a koala to help support the zoo's conservation efforts. I definitely recommend taking part in this wonderful experience—you won’t regret it!

Thank you for the smooth transaction! I book a ticket using klook on the day of our trip cause we didnt plan on anything that day. Search it in google maps and found out that its much cheaper than the website itself. Just show the mobile voucher. Had a great experience in the venue. A lot of animals and gets to see them so close. We ride a train too. Learned alot about their life and how the sanctuary take care of them. Highly recommended.

Perhaps it was luck, but the koalas here were incredibly active, unlike those in other places that are almost always sleeping. We even saw many koalas carrying their babies on their backs and moving around, which was absolutely adorable. The kangaroo enclosure was also very large and spacious, and the kangaroos were lying down, allowing you to pet them. You could easily spend a lot of time and fill up your phone's storage just in the kangaroo area. This is a highly recommended itinerary.

Just tap the QR code at the entrance and you're all set. Very convenient. No need to print. Screenshot also works. Come early. Buy the express pass if you can. It will make your trip more enjoyable. The wildlife encounters here are exceptional, especially the kangaroo feeding area where you can get up close with these gentle creatures. The crocodile show is both thrilling and educational, while the bird free-flight demonstration will leave you in awe. The park layout flows naturally through different habitats, making it easy to navigate. The koala cuddling experience is worth every penny, and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable about conservation efforts. The nocturnal house provides a fascinating glimpse into Australia's nighttime wildlife. The cafe offers decent options, though I recommend bringing snacks to save time.

It was the first time I brought my children to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Compared with the Muzha Zoo in Taiwan, many animals in Muzha Zoo are enclosed by fences or glass and tourists can only watch them. However, the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary In the area, you can interact closely with small animals such as kangaroos and koalas. Children feel very novel and happy. It is a great travel experience.

I was able to fully enjoy the creatures that only exist in Australia! Some of the creatures were nocturnal and could not be seen, but that was also a good memory ♪ I was healed by the creatures that were cared for and lived freely. I was able to hold a koala and have my picture taken, and I had a very satisfying time! The cafe in the park was also beautiful and the food was very delicious. I would like to stop by again if I have the opportunity to come to the Gold Coast!

It is cheaper to buy tickets in advance on KLOOK. This time, we also took a small train, fed kangaroos, and most importantly, we also hugged a koala (koala). Warm reminder: if you purchase a koala hug, a physical photo will be included. (If you need electronic files, you need to pay an additional 3 Australian dollars)
