Review Van Gogh Museum Ticket in Amsterdam

We had such a heartfelt experience at the Van Gogh Museum. Everything was smooth from the start, easy to get to, ticket just scanned instantly, and even the cloakroom was super organized. The museum itself is beautifully laid out, you really feel like you’re walking through Van Gogh’s life, seeing both his rise and the bittersweet decline in his later works. We also loved the temporary exhibit and the little area where you can sit and draw for a moment and feel a bit like Van Gogh yourself. The whole visit was moving, calming, and absolutely worth the price. It’s one of those places that stays with you long after you leave.

Locals keep advising us that we need to book Van Gogh tickets a month before our arrival. Klook make it quick and easy. We booked a day prior and still got a timeslot for 2 pax. Museum was worth it, recommend to purchase an audio tour.

You have to select a time slot when purchasing tickets. It's very popular during the summer vacation, so be sure to buy them early! Simply show your e-voucher before entering. You need to deposit your bags (free of charge) before entering, and your bags will be checked before entering. The first exhibition hall introduces Van Gogh's life in detail, and there are some scenarios for visitors to choose from. The exit connects to souvenirs, which are very textured and ingenious! You can take a look around. As for the paintings, you have to take another escalator to reach them. There are three floors of themes, and the painting experience is good. You can take pictures to commemorate your visit. I recommend everyone to go and appreciate them.

I made a last-minute reservation the day before, but it was convenient because I received the QR code right away. Admission was very smooth, and I could leave my large backpack and tote bag in a free locker. As soon as you enter, you are greeted by Van Gogh's self-portrait. There are many people in front of famous paintings such as sunflowers, wheat fields with crows, and almond blossoms, but compared to other museums, people clear out quickly, so it's easy to see overall.

Using the QR code for entry is very convenient, saving time queuing for tickets. There are self-service lockers, a souvenir shop, and a restaurant on the lower ground floor. Many of Van Gogh's famous paintings are exhibited, introducing his life, family, and friends. The exhibition is divided into permanent and temporary exhibits, and no separate tickets are required. Don't miss either one.

You can enter the Van Gogh Museum by simply showing your QR code, and there are free lockers inside, which is very convenient. There's a tram stop nearby where you can get off. Also, adding a canal cruise is a great deal.

Easy to book and I got a discount with a coupon, so I enjoyed it. I would have regretted not going to the Van Gogh Museum. The artwork was great, the viewing experience was pleasant, and the exhibits were diverse enough that I ran out of time.
