Review Windsor Castle Ticket

Windsor Castle is an incredible place to visit! It’s the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world, serving as a royal residence for over 900 years. The castle is stunning, with its grand architecture, historic rooms, and beautiful St. George’s Chapel, where several royal weddings and burials have taken place.

We joined the Windsor Castle, Bath & Stonehenge day tour one Sunday. We redeemed the Klook Pass on the day itself at the entrance and you’ll get the paper tickets on another queue. Many tour groups will start queueing to enter at about 9am and the door opens at about 9:35am. The St George Chapel isn’t open to tourists on Sunday due to church service, but having just 1.5 hours, it’s actually just enough to take photos outside of the ground of the castle and visit the State Apartments. The monarch collection inside is simply breathtaking. No photography is allowed but it’s a total feast to one’s eyes. You just got to see it to believe it. Since it’s a working castle and a place where King Charles resides, it is just divine to imagine how the royal family live.

Booking with Klook is convenient: Generally, you buy an e-ticket here, and it's exchanged for a physical ticket on-site, which is very convenient. Experience: See what a real palace looks like. Remember to redeem your guide at the entrance, and if you time it right, you can even catch a performance!

At 11:00, you can watch the guard ceremony outside before entering. You need to go to the Klook counter to exchange your ticket and get a free guide machine. Spend 4 hours here to slowly appreciate each work of art. After the end, take a walk in The Long Walk nearby or watch the swans on the River Thames Windsor. Take the 702 London lin Bus for about 1.5 hours.

I went straight to the ticket counter to redeem a paper ticket without any waiting time on a weekday. However, it took me 40 mins to queue to enter Queen dolls house. I spent 3 hours for the whole visit in the castle. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Originally participated in the 6/22 one-day group (Windsor + Stonehenge + Bath) because Windsor was only open in the afternoon on that day, which made it impossible to visit the itinerary. Therefore, we changed the itinerary on 6/23 and bought train tickets and tickets on the night of 6/22 Windsor tickets, and went to Windsor again on 6/23, the overall visit took about 4 hours, I think it is worth it! It may be better than visiting with a one-day group. After all, the visiting time is relatively free, and you can hear the complete guide and see the handover of the guards. It feels relatively relaxed.

Windsor castle is definitely worth visiting!! We had so much fun. The people there are helpful and we enjoyed our time there. Do take note that you will need to print out the admission ticket.

It was a great experience visiting this historical castle in London. I'd recommend this place as a must visit point.
